As a sought-after performer, educator, recording artist, and collaborator, Diana Daw has forged a diverse and dynamic career across various musical genres.
Diana has garnered numerous accolades, including being the Canadian Open Fiddle Champion, Ontario Open Champion, and the Grand Master Fiddle Championship U.S.A Junior Runner Up. She has captivated audiences globally, both through her live performances and on social media. Her viral arrangement of Gracie Abrams' "That's So True" has amassed over 11 million views on TikTok, and her covers and arrangements have caught the attention of major artists from around the world.
As a versatile collaborator, Diana Daw regularly plays fiddle and sings with The Band Loula. Recently, she joined them as the opening act for Zach Top and Dierks Bentley on the Broken Branches North American Tour. Diana has also collaborated with artists like Kelsi Mayne, Natalie MacMaster, Girl Named Tom, and 310 Babii. A skilled multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, viola, button accordion, and lends her voice to various projects. Diana holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music from the University of Southern California. Currently, she is pursuing her Graduate Certificate in Violin Performance at the University of Southern California on a full scholarship.
With a deep passion for violin instruction, Diana currently teaches undergraduate students at the University of Southern California, has served as a judge for the Ontario Open Fiddle Competition, and has been an invited guest instructor at various institutes and camps across Canada.
